Mr. Davidoff’s extensive experience and education is an asset to our firm and invaluable to our clients. Mr. Davidoff is admitted to practice in the state courts of Florida, Massachusetts, New York, federal courts in Florida and New York, the United States Tax Court, and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Davidoff earned his Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and Bachelors of Business Administration from Emory University, a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Miami, a Juris Doctor from New York Law School (magna cum laude), and a Master of Legal Letters in Taxation from New York University School of Law. Having previously served as a prosecutor for several years and represented clients involved in small and large matters, Mr. Davidoff is able to view cases from a very multifaceted perspective.

Mr. Davidoff has represented clients such as: attorneys from large law firms such as Latham & Watkins, LLP and Kelley Dry & Warren, LLP who were involved in criminal tax matters, investment bankers from Bank of America (the Parmalat transactions) and Enron Corporation who were involved in two of the world’s largest corporate collapses, a former federal government employee in New Jersey Federal Court on theft of government funds (Section 8 housing), and clients charged with life felonies to simple misdemeanor and DUI/DWI charges. Mr. Davidoff is also able to handle commercial matters involving criminal issues, such as when he represented a client whose attorney forged the buyers’ signature in a mortgage note, clients whose multi-million dollar company purchased was actually a worthless entity, a client who sought a divorce based on domestic violence, clients whose restaurant was purchased based on fraud and deception, as well as matters involving corporations such as Hewlett-Packard and the grey market. Mr. Davidoff is able to handle any type of litigation matter, as all litigation matters are different in their own right, so it is important to have an attorney like Jonathan Davidoff who has handled diverse cases in the past.

Mr. Resnick is a litigator who honed his craft at one of Florida’s oldest and most prestigious firms, Gunster Yoakley & Stewart, P.A., before starting his own boutique law firm in 2005 with offices in Miami, Boca Raton and New York City.  Mr. Resnick received his Bachelors of Arts in Political Science with honors from Emory University, one of the most prestigious universities in the United States, and a Juris Doctor with honors from the University of Florida. Mr. Resnick is admitted to all of the state and federal courts in Florida and the United States Supreme Court.   In 2009, he was named one of the Top Lawyers in Florida by Florida Trend magazine and was named one of the 40 best attorneys in South Florida under the age of 40.

Mr. Resnick’s practice concentrates on business and commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, real estate matters, and all other disputes that end up in a court room. He has successfully litigated for and against a number of Fortune 500 companies.

He has represented numerous clients in both state and federal courts, and served as local counsel for a number of national and international law firms.  His current practice includes the personal representation of a number of famous American sports stars who are currently playing in the National Football League, the National Basketball League and Major League Baseball.   In addition to this athlete representation, Mr. Resnick serves as general counsel for several financial services companies as well as a number of hedge funds.

He was been elected three times to serve as a member of the Board of Directors of the Dade County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section and has served as a committee chair for the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, an organization which recognized him as the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division’s Star of the Quarter.  In 2008, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation recognized him as the top young professional in South Florida.

Mr. Resnick, a graduate of Leadership Miami, is also a leader in the Miami’s legal and cultural arts scene.  Mr. Resnick was awarded the “Shining Star” Award by the Arts & Business Council of Miami, Inc. This award each year honors the top Miami business professional supporting the arts and cultural community.  Mr. Resnick was the founding chairperson of the Friends of the New World Symphony, and now serves on its Executive Committee. He also sits on the Board of Directors for the Miami Design Preservation League and on the Executive Committees for the Art Crowd of the Bass Museum, the Green Room Society for the Carnival Center for Performing Arts, the Tropees of the Historical Museum of Southern Florida, and the Jewish Legal Society of Miami amongst others. He is also a member of the South Beach Athletic Club and an active in local, state and national politics.

Derek A. Schwartz concentrates his practice in areas of estate planning, wills and trusts, asset protection, probate and the tax and business legal needs of professionals. Derek earned his bachelor degree in accounting from Emory University and his law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. At the University of Florida, Derek served as a tax editor to the Florida Tax Review and was a member of the Florida Law Review. Formerly associated with the law firms of Holland & Knight, LLP and Greenberg Traurig. Derek also focuses on the drafting and implementation of limited liability companies, foundations, family limited partnerships as well as the design and effectuation of tax favored and asset enhancement strategies.
